Mehr doesn’t think love is important and ignores what her friends say about it. Her friends want her to change her mind because they admire how she dedicates herself to Allah. But things get worse when she starts to like a boy.
Love is usually wonderful, but what if the person you love is really bad? What if the person you care for the most is someone you shouldn’t have cared about? This story is about how people have wishes and work hard to reach their goals. They try to understand why things happen, even though our minds aren’t perfect.
Umera Ahmed talks about the importance of praying to Allah in this book. She shows how people have wishes and try to make sense of everything happening around them. The nice thing about this story is that it teaches readers to pray for what’s good, not just what they want. The story was first in a magazine called Khawateen Digest and then in a book.
